Days daze,
One second may spend like an hour,
The hour may take an eternity to pass,
But your day is swallowed whole,
By the night; swallowed whole,
By the very next day
Girls laze,
Clean through spring sunlight,
Headlong through fall,
Pervading seasons without contemplating,
Lifting a finger; without contemplating,
A covered shoulder
Slow gaze,
Ahead, we all know where we're going,
Low, under glare of the skies,
If we're moving the gaps in our view,
Belong to the moment. The flies in our view,
Are dancing on the water.
All haze,
Reaching anywhere I reach,
Holding no hands or videotapes,
Patience closes in unpaid on the last place,
On earth. I was cold and unready in the first place,
And now still
  Ablaze,
Dazzling light on water,
Two ice cubes and your nails,
Moving through the same circles.
The weekend, always the same, circles,
The bird dives to drink.
A maze,
The drawing apex of a blind corner,
But through the gravid shrubbery behold,
And be held beside the curb. All to see you,
Glitter on the street corner; all to see you
Friday night
